Baptism Preparation Team

Welcoming a child into the Church is a joyful occasion, and our parish is blessed with a dedicated Baptism Preparation team that guides families as they prepare for this sacred sacrament. Their aim is to help parents and godparents understand the significance of Baptism, its responsibilities, and the lifelong journey of faith that begins at the font.

Our Mission

The Baptism Preparation Team assists families by:

  • Providing clear guidance on the sacrament and parish expectations.
  • Sharing the spiritual significance of Baptism in the Catholic tradition.
  • Creating a warm, welcoming environment for discussion and questions.
  • Helping parents and godparents reflect on their role as the child’s first teachers of the faith.

What We Do

Our trained volunteers meet with parents preparing for their child’s baptism to provide:

  • A brief presentation on the theology and symbolism of the sacrament.
  • Practical information about the celebration of Baptism in our parish.
  • Conversation and support from team members who have walked this journey themselves.

Our team members joyfully witness the importance of raising children in the Catholic faith and are always pleased to share their experiences.

Who We Are

The Baptism Preparation Team comprises parishioners who feel called to support young families. They bring diverse experiences – parents, grandparents, catechists, and those active in parish ministry – but all share a common love for their faith and a desire to help others deepen their relationship with it.
